This policy explains what information Parlay Partners ("we", "us", "our") collects through parlaypartners.org, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it plain because the site is simple: it is an informational site with no user accounts and no logins.
For data-protection purposes, Parlay Partners is the data controller for the information described below. You can reach us at team@parlaypartners.org.
what we collect
Information you send us. When you fill in our contact form or email us, we receive your name, your email address, the handles or brand you enter, and whatever you write in your message. We use this to reply to you, evaluate a potential partnership, and keep a record of our correspondence.
Technical information. Like any website, our hosting provider records standard technical data such as IP address and browser type to keep the site running and secure. When you submit the contact form, your IP address is used briefly to check for spam and to limit abuse.
how we use it, and our legal basis
We use the information to respond to enquiries, assess and manage partnerships, protect the site from spam and abuse, and comply with the law. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running and protecting our business and in responding to people who contact us, and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf so the site can function:
- our hosting provider, to serve the site and keep security logs
- our email provider, to deliver and store the messages you send us
- a security and content-delivery provider, to protect the site from bots, abuse, and attacks
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers. We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights.
cookies and analytics
This site does not use analytics or tracking of any kind, sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and does not follow you across other websites. Because of this, no cookie-consent banner is needed to use the site.
email from us
We only email you in reply to something you sent us, or to acknowledge a form submission. We do not send marketing newsletters or add you to a mailing list. If you would rather we stop contacting you, just say so in a reply and we will.
your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email team@parlaypartners.org and we will respond within the time the law allows.
EU / UK: you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
California: under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we hold, to have it deleted or corrected, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, and we will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
retention
We keep your correspondence for as long as it is relevant to a current or potential business relationship, then delete it, unless we need to keep it for a legal reason. Security and rate-limit records are short-lived and cleared automatically.
children
Our site and services are for adults only. You must be at least 18, or the higher minimum age required where you live, to use the site or contact us. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age.
changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above.
